STEPHEN: "THE NANNY" E1X08 PERSONAL BUSINESS
Maxwell and C.C. are trying to find a leading man for their next show. They decide on Brock Storm, the not too bright but handsome star of the soap opera One Day After Another. Fran is excited at the prospect of meeting Brock. She may have more than just a meeting as Brock agrees to do their production with the stipulation that Fran is part of the package. Maxwell thinks that pimping Fran (to use Niles' vernacular) is reprehensible, but C.C. convinces him that they would be doing Fran a favor as she is Brock's biggest fan, or at least the biggest fan of Dr. River Shane, the character he plays on the soap opera. Fran imagines that Brock is in real life just like Dr. Shane. Maxwell ultimately agrees to the arrangement, but is still worried for what Brock and Fran will end up doing as well as for what he considers a compromise of his own personal morals. Fran is thrilled, even after she finds out that she is just a pawn in the negotiations. Fran quickly finds out on their date that Brock is nothing like Dr. River Shane, but is a vain self-absorbed cad. Maxwell is somewhat relieved that Fran was able to take care of herself, and that nothing out of hand happened. But both Fran and Maxwell realize, despite Maxwell's concerns, that mixing business with pleasure is bound to happen in their collective lives. Stephen and Charles Shaunessy co-starred on the soap opera "Days of our Lives" where Shaunessey's character of Shane Donovan was married to Steve Johnson's wife's sister.

Tucker arrives at Ashley's where they discuss among other things, Adam, Faith, their fatefull meeting at the airport and Ashley's strength. Abby arrives to collect her things as she says she's staying over at a friend's. Later Tucker amazes Ashley with his culinary prowess while regailing her with his story of being in Egypt where he acquired his talent for food. During a montage sequence, Tucker and Ashley make love.

Tucker and Diane meet Jack and Kyle at the Genoa City Athletic Club and Jack is eager to 'babysit' his son while Diane and Tucker go off to his office/penthouse to iron out the details for her joining Tucker McCall Unlimited. Arriving at his penthouse during the downpour blanketing Genoa City and its evirons, Tucker and Diane make themselves comfortable with a bit of double entendres before they end up in Tucker's bedroom. As the storm rages in the city, the tornado breaks the windows of Tucker's penthouse, glass raining in on Tucker and Diane in bed.

Tucker comes by the Abbott estate to see Ashley who is living in the poolhouse since Abby kicked her out of her house. There he confronts Ashley about her not taking his messages, texts.... Ashley is acting very indifferent to Tucker as she tells him she's not interested in him. Tucker pleads with her to remember what happened at the airport when she tried to escape with Faith, then when they made that video of Ashley with Faith before she handed the baby over to Sharon, and finally, about that night in Japan. Ashley again tries to act as if it didn't matter citing that her life is too complicated with Adam's civil suit coming up, to which Tucker admits he doesn't care. Ashley finallY rebukes him sending him away. Not daunted by her rebuff, Tucker returns insistent to get her to see him. Desperation forces Tucker to pick up a chair and hurl it at the door gaining him entrance to the poolhouse. Ashley looks on, scared to get close to Tucker who begs her it's okay...he's okay...they're okay. Finally Ashley gives in and tears into Tucker's clothes trying to get them off as they begin making love. The two of them go down onto the floor where they strip each others clothes off, leaving them in a heap above their heads.

Tucker attempts to comfort her. Neil arrives at Ashley's and after some words with Tucker, Tucker leaves. Neil sees the footage on the camcorder of Tucker comforting Ashley. Later, Tucker arrives at the Newman Ranch seeing Victor, Katherine and Jack going over the Jabot buyout. After trading some barbs with Kay, Victor escorts Tucker out.

Tucker meets Ashley at the Genoa City Athletic Club for lunch while Jill spies from a nearby table after hoodwinking Katherine into a lunch date. Tucker and Ashley talk business and about Ashley's issues with Abby. Jill shoehorns herself into Tucker and Ashley's table. Later Ashley leaves when JT arrives to talk business with Tucker. JT informs Tucker he will not spy on him to get information from Victoria. Tucker expresses some respect for JT who has left the GCAC. When Tucker gets up from the table, Jill approaches and sits at one of the chairs and reaches up under the table to remove a recording device she'd planted earlier that has Tucker's and JT's conversation on it.

Tucker meets with Ashley at Crimson Lights over a strategy to bring in JT to spy on Newman. JT agrees with the caveat there be nothing in writing to inlculpate him should Victor find out. Both Ashley and Tucker agree leaving JT to agree to their plan. Jack arrives at Crimson Lights to find out how their plan is going against Victor, to which Ashley confirms JT has agreed to work with them. Later, Ashley and Tucker arrive at Glowworm where they meet Victor. Tucker excuses himself to go find a table for he and Ashley leaving her to discuss Abby with Victor when Vance Abrams arrives to serve Victor with papers concerning Abby's lawsuit to obtain her trust fund. Tucker looks on as Victor vows to dismantle Abby's trust fund before he allows her to get her hands on any of it.

Tucker arrives at the courthouse where Ashley is about to give her testimony against Adam. Ashley urges him to leave fearful of what she will have to admit to might cause him to loose faith in her. When Ashley is finished testifying, she leaves the stand to find Tucker standing there at the back of the courtroom. As Billy and Jack comfort her, Tucker quietly leaves. Later at Tucker's penthouse, Jill arrives threatening Tucker to keep his end of their deal. Tucker tells her he fully plans on keeping their deal as he calls his Private Eye about giving Jill all his attention...on Tucker's dime. As Jill is about to leave, Ashley arrives worried about how Tucker feels about her given he left the courthouse without saying a word to her. In a heart-to-heart conversation, Tucker tells Ashley his reason for leaving was due to something Ashley said to him sometime ago at the airport when she was going to leave with Faith. He tells her she sometimes wished that Jack and Billy would just give her some room instead of trying to put her back together again. Tucker tells Ashley how very proud he was of her today and in no way would he ever remove her from being the CEO of Jabot. The embrace and kiss. Included is the preview for 08/12/2010.

Tucker meets Ashley at the Genoa City Athletic Club after the judge hands Adam a win on his case. During the conversation, Ashley expresses to Tucker her wanting to become more independent and take back the Ashley she used to be. Over dinner, Tucker and Ashley talk business over who would be good within Tucker McCall International to send to Japan to take over Beauty of Nature when they seize it from Victor. A process server approaches with a document from Adam informing Ashley she's being sued by Adam for deprivation of freedom and impinging on his civil rights not to be held against his will when they all ambushed him at the Abbott cabin. Later at the Abbott Mansion, Ashley and Jack discuss their case with Traci and Tucker looking on. When Jack issues the war cry against Adam, Tucker strongly echoes in agreement. After Tucker has left, Traci and Ashley discuss Tucker and Ashley's burgeoning feelings for him, however, Ashley still expresses her wanting to be her old self. On their way up to bed, Ashley's cell phone rings. Tucker's cellphone number and name is in the display which segues to Tucker exiting Crimson Lights, his phone up to his ear trying to get Ashley.

Tucker and Ashley return to Genoa City from Tokyo and prepare to meet with a representative at the State Department to file a complaint against Victor for illegal business practices. The get talking about what happened in Tokyo, to which Ashley asks Tucker to not tell Neil. They talk personally about their mutual attraction when Ashley finds out about Lily's return and the court case going on with regards to Mac's trying to protect the Ashby babies from having the amniotic fluid drawn to save Lily. Ashley excuses herself from Tucker's company and goes to Neil. Katherine talks to Lauren about the mistakes she's made in her life and the rammifications over her estrangement from Tucker. Later, Ashley rejoins Tucker at the Genoa City Athletic Club where she tells him she's with Neil and that's it.
