Tucker asks, why are they paying, James Collier a retainer the size of the national debt? Sofia replies, he's the consultant on the alternative energy project. Cane recommended him and she approved. Tucker isn't sure he does. A hesitant Sofia says okay, well and make the call to Cane. She informs that Tucker has some questions about their new consultant. Cane thought she said that everything was, okay. Sofia chuckles, it's not called Dupre unlimited.LOL Tucker has the final say. Cane is on his way. Neil asks, what's up? Cane replies, that was Sofia. Tucker has some questions about the new, biofuel consultant. Neil offers to stay and help Lily. Cane states, he wants the best man for the job? It's Collier. He's not into publicity. He's not into self-promotion. He gets in, he does the job, and he gets out. Tucker states, "you say he's the man?" He grabs a big pile of papers. He states, research questions. He want him to get the material to Collier. Tell him he want answers by tomorrow morning. Cane says, it'll be done. Tucker adds, one more thing. On paper, Collier looks like a winner. But nothing beats shaking a man's hand and looking him in the eye. "You set up a face-to-face." At Tucker's office, Cane asks tomorrow? Tucker asks, is that going to be a problem? Cane lies, Collier's a busy guy, though. He may not be in the country. Tucker stresses he is paying him to be where he want him to be-- that's his office tomorrow. If transportation's an issue, they will send the jet. Sofia will let the pilot know. She's on standby. Tucker says, once he has reviewed that assignment, had a face-to-face with the man, he will decide whether he stays on payroll or not. Tucker's Office--Neil says, they adjusted production based on analysis that holiday sales were going to be tepid. Sofia continues if consumers aren't buying, they won't be sitting on a warehouse of extra products. An impressed Tucker replies, they did good work Anything else? Neil heard he has reservations about the consultant that Cane brought in. Tucker just want to meet him for myself, see who he is. Neil states, they all know that Cane's a good businessman. He is sure has he's done his homework well. Tucker is glad he has faith in Cane, but faith doesn't cut the checks. I do. The fact is, Neil, none of his colleagues have heard of this guy. So if this is Cane trying to slip a buddy a few checks under the table, he is going to put a stop to it. And then he is going to bounce Collier and Cane out on their "down unders." Diane is furious with Tucker for firing her due to the article Phyllis wrote on the Restless Style website. Diane threatens to tell Ashley about her and Tucker's one night stand, where Tucker threatens her back with her shaky reputation. He states it would be the word of an upstanding businessman to that of someone like Diane. Tucker escorts Diane to the door and tells her to leave, slamming the door in her face. Later Victoria shows up on Tucker's doorstep with an offer he can't refuse. Inviting her in, Tucker asks what brought her to his door. Victoria offers him the one apple he's been missing: Ownership of Beauty of Nature if he makes her CEO. Tucker is quite taken by Victoria's spunk as she says that joining Jabot and Beauty of Nature will make him the owner of an extensive cosmetics line.

At Crimson Lights, Abby questions her mother's trust in Tucker as Abby accuses Tucker and Diane of sleeping together. Ashley demands that her daughter apologize to Tucker for her accusations. At Tucker's penthouse he's on the phone to Diane discussing the last minute aspects of her contract with Tucker McCall Unlimited. Diane tells Tucker she'll stop by later to finalize the contract. Later Abby stops by Tucker's to give him that apology to which Tucker admits that both of them have Ashley's best interests at heart. As Tucker is finishing a business call, Abby sees something on her phone; the article Phyillis has just put online from Restless Style about Diane's history in Genoa City. Abby brings the article to Tucker's attention. Later Diane arrives at Tucker's to sign her contract when Tucker tells her the deal is off. Stunned, Diane asks what happened. Tucker arrives at Restless Style on a business matter finding Phyllis at the helm in Billy's absence. Tucker asks about some ad space he paid for and is told by Phyllis Restless Style plans on devoting a few extra pages to the McCall Clothing Line. Tucker then asks Phyllis about Diane Jenkins. Phyllis can barely contain her dislike for Diane as she warns Tucker about hiring her. At Glow-worm, Tucker arrives for a business meeting with Diane and finds Victor enjoying a drink. Tucker inquires about Murphy's condition to which Victor promptly dismisses Tucker, telling him to 'ask his mother'. Tucker begins to question further when Diane arrives for their meeting. During their meeting with drinks, Tucker asks Diane to undertake an architectural endeavour with McCall, which Diane does accept, deciding to go to Tucker's penthouse to seal the deal and go over figures. Diane says she has to fetch her briefcase. Leaving Glow-worm, Tucker and Dinne go to the Genoa City Athlectic Club where the meet up with Jack and Kyle, where Diane introduces Tucker to her son. Tucker and Diane continue their conversation at the Genoa City Athletic Club where Tucker learns that Diane has a little boy. they also discuss her being an architect and the work she's done. They are still in rapt discussion when Ashley arrives, immediately staking her claim on Tucker. Tucker then finds out that Diane's son is Jack's and notices the tension between Ashley and Diane. Diane later spying Phillis and Adam in an intimage tryst, hurries to leave the GCAC, while Tucker and Ashley have begun their date. (Included here is the preview for 10/14/2010).

Tucker arrives at Katherine's to be there for Chance's funeral. Tucker meets his half brother Brock Reynolds, when the officer in charge of the military end of Chance's funeral shows up to take the family to the church. At the church Tucker plays largely atmosphere until everyone returns to the Chancellor Estate for the reception. There Tucker and Neil begin discussing Tucker's 'be nice' policy between he and Sophia when Neil brings up the issue of Katherine looking somewhat frail, tho which Tucker issues his concern for his mother. Outside the mansion, Tucker and Ashley take a little time for themselves where Ashley discusses missing Colleen and her love for Abby. Later, Tucker approaches Katherine, asking her to take it easy and to watch her health. Katherine becomes emotional, thinking a lot of Chance and her son when she collapses in Tucker's arms.
