Tucker arrives at Katherine's with a goodwill gesture concerning Chancellor Industries and the spirit of detente with his birth mother. Jill and Billy prepare to print the cover story of Tucker's payola past, when Jill begs off to go talk to Katherine. Jill then confronts Katherine with a deal that she will hold off on printing the Restless Style cover story on Tucker, if she will demand that Tucker take her on back at CI. After telling Billy to kill the story, Jill heads back to the office. Tucker returns to Katherine after making some phone calls in her office, where Katherine asks for one more thing from Tucker that Jill spies from outside.
